M E M B E R S H I P   C A T E G O R I E S

Resident Member
A Resident Member is a member who has paid the full entrance fee to the club, who pays such annual dues as the Board may from time-to-time prescribe and who is thereby entitled to enjoy all the privileges of the club. Resident Members are responsible for an annual food assessment based upon annual fees paid. Spouses of Resident Members and Non-Resident Members retain full club privileges.
 

Non-Resident Member
A Non-Resident Member is a member who:

  • does not maintain a residence in Winnipeg or within a 100km-radius of the city centre of Winnipeg
  • has paid the entrance fee applicable to membership in the club as a Resident or Non-Resident member, and has paid the annual dues prescribed for a Non-Resident Member.

A Non-Resident Member shall have all the privileges of a Resident Member except that of being elected to the Board of Governors. Non-resident members are welcome to use the facilities of Manitoba Club when visiting Winnipeg at no additional charge. Spouses of Resident Members, Non-Resident Members and Corporate Members retain full club privileges.
 

Corporate Member
A Corporate Member is a member who has paid the full entrance fee to the club, who pays such annual dues as the Board may from time to time prescribe and who is thereby entitled to enjoy all the privileges of the club. Corporate Memberships are available to two or more applicants from the same active corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship, other business or professional organizations approved by the Committee of Management.
 

Multiple Member Plan
This category of membership is intended to promote Manitoba Club as the place of choice for leading Manitoba businesses; most valued employees. The Multiple Member Plan (MMP) has a single Primary Member and allows for up to five additional Employee Memberships for employees of the Primary Member.
 

Corporate Transfers
The request for transfer of membership to another owner, director or employee of a corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship, other business or professional organization should be forwarded to the Committee of Management, for approval with the provision that the retiring or relocating member is, or was immediately prior to retirement or relocation an owner, director or employee. Once approved by the Board of Governors, the transferee would not be subject to pay an entrance fee. This opportunity applies only to members under the age of 65.
 

Family Legacy
This is a tremendous opportunity for members and families to continue their long-standing involvement with the pre-eminent business and social club in the Province. Under the parameters of this category, the club invites the sons and/or daughters of club members, with an excess of 10-years of membership, to join the club with no entrance fee requirement. New members in this category are activated as full Resident or Non-Resident Members and are responsible for only the annual fees of membership and food assessment.
